if you have been to the metropolitan museum of art in new york city, you have probably come across a shark in a tank full of formaldehyde. Damien Hirst is the artist behind this ‘art’ and he recently had an auction at Sotheby’s in London. this auction raised $198 million breaking a record for an auction of works by a single artist. take a look.
